Spicy Apple Crisp

Photo Source. An easy dairy-free dessert that is cozy, warm and comforting. The apples bake up and soften in the oven yielding a nice contrast of crisp topping and saucy apples. Although this crisp is great by itself, topping it with a dollop of your favorite vegan vanilla ice cream couldn't hurt.

2 tablespoons water

Filling

2 pounds Granny Smith apples (4-5), peeled, cored and cut into ½ inch slices

¼ cup light brown sugar

¼ teaspoon ground cinnamon
